No possible way!! We have 100's of crows, turkey vulture's etc etc. I live in the woods. There's just no way. Plus all the damp weather this year hasn't helped anything. But thank god they only effected the big girls and boy. Again, so weird that the growing pen is right next to them and the 17 younger birds don't have a problem.

Plus like I said heavily treed. They get sun but half/half. Can only do what I can do. Better preventive methods and now I know to inspect them a lot more. Actually, I never have. Never had this issue before. My bad this time. Won't do it again.

its not the crows, vultures or the others, mostly sparrows, they go into the chickens run, house etc, they have the little bugs, sparrows are getting so plentiful around here that i can't keep them out of my chicken house, they fly into the house thru the chicken door into the run

I finally had enough and requested a refund on the doz Muscovy eggs ordered and PAID for from a farm in TX on Oct 6th of LAST year! Last communication was may 4th and now I get another PM saying she sent them! must have gone to wrong address, I requested an refund and now she says please let her send me the eggs first thing in the morning! sucker Sal says ok send me the darn eggs, uggggg I don't want the darn things now! I want the bators CLEAN and free!! Why did I let her swindle me yet again! seriously not like me, but I just don't feel much up to arguing lately. whatever just be done with it. I will sell every one of them or give them away.

While I was looking for duck eggs for sale in this area I found an ad for Lavender and Blue Australorps by a local breeder. I love Australorps! We still need to get the coop and run built, so we're going to get busy with that this week and get poor AWOL some buddies. She's made peace with her little cage, poor thing. There is unfortunately no other way to keep her here at the moment. So, now I need to find some duck eggs... (Sorry Sally

My girl red star chick from the high school just died... It looks like she developed a bacterial infection from rupturing her yolk. As much as I didn't want them, I am pretty sad. She was very friendly and she was following me around the other day.

I now have one very lonely mutt rooster chick.

I would put him with the other chicks, but he has spraddle legs because the high school had news paper lining the bottom of their incubators. Also, my other chicks are a mix of 2 week, 4 week, and 5 week olds. They will more than likely pick on this little guy.
