Hi Everyone- Hope y'all are having a Terrific Saturday afternoon!
I accomplished something this afternoon (other than going through tons of stuff)
and I wanted to share it with y'all and see what ya think:
It's my first step in getting the ducks their new home-

I wanted to do the pond first, I can build the pen around it!!
Took me all morning to dig that hole- Me and the DD did it, leveled it all out- backfilled, watered it in and graded around it!
those dang ducks better like it or they will make a nice dinner for someone!!
This was my Mom's koi pond. I think she would approve of the use of it for my duckies

That poor thing has been empty since we moved her here right before she passed in 2009.
I really didn't think I would find a use for it, but then we got ducks, so.........now i just have to figure out a filtering system- any suggestions? The pond is maybe 100 gallons at most.

I'll say the one front most, and the one whose tail is farthest to the right.
They are all beautiful- what are they?

Went to check on Broody Hen on day 24. Couple were still wet. Only one egg didn't hatch. How can two hens sitting in nests side by side be so different in the hatch with eggs from the same rooster and hens?

Look at those cute chicks- Lord there are a bunch there!!!!

Well everything all locked down again !! Did a quick grab and pull the baby out and misted then did a quick check n mark for the others going into lock down tonight .. so now comes the LLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNGGGGG wait and worry stage lol

hope anyone else that has hatchings going on is having good luck and chickies are ok !!!

did i mention its awful quiet here and

That's correct. Until today I thought the one on the right was a hen. The three in the back are Gold Laced Wyandottes. The one in front is a Blue Laced Red Wyandotte (Splash)

Theya re very beautiful- YAY, I was right!! I have teenagers, so I'm usually wrong (they think)....nice to be right on SOMEthing.....
