Gosh, I feel so dumb... It was so obvious! How didn't I catch that???![]()

I saw that a minute after it was posted.
But I told myself that I wouldn't order from hatcheries ever again. Plus, I have WAY too many chicks and chickens already.![]()
But imagine the profit even if u sold for 5 bucks a pc! SallyANNenabler!
I tried that with the cochin bantam special. I figured that I'd pay 85 cent per chick and than I could sell them for $4 a piece on criagslist, but the plan didn't work out so well.
I decided to raise nearly all 55 of them just to see what colors they'd be, but then I got attach to nearly all 55 of them! They are horrible quality, but ideal hatchery sent a great variety that included 13 different colors of cochin bantams. I kept thinking that I needed at least a pair or trio of every color... darn chicken math...
I was able to get the number of their chickens down to 12. It's so hard to decide which colors to keep and which to sell. I really shouldn't keep any of them since they are hatchery...
Also, I don't like people coming over to buy birds. Once in a while is ok, but it's not worth the hassle with hatchery chicks.
