Yeah, I know some of their birds are nice but I was fairly disappointed in the cochin bantams. I feel that if you're looking for quality birds, it'd be wiser to go through a breeder.

However, I have heard many good things about WELP hatchery and I'm tempted to order some from them next spring.

I'm sure that the polish chicks sell very well, but like I said, it's probably not worth the hassle of having strangers from craigslist constantly coming over to your house. Also, mom would probably kill me if I brought home another box of chicks, haha.

If it's so profitable, why don't you buy them? There's still time, haha. You know you want too.

Hey guys,

One of the goslings sounded panicky so I opened up the shell a bit to see what was going on. I moistened the membrane with antibiotic ointment and it looks like most of the blood vessels have receded. When I was finished, the Q tip ended up with a yellow liquid on it.

Is it ever normal for yellow liquid to be in the shell? or am I dealing with another ruptured yolk sac?
