I'm going to have to figure out a way to get those chicks to a different place without infecting the rest of my flock. Hopefully I won't lose many more but I still have some very sick chicks. I hope they quit dying soon. That's a lot of work and expense to lose this many with the potential of losing so many more. I just got back from making the sickest chicks drink.

I am very close to throwing in the towel and not going for NPIP and keeping my CCL, serama and brahma and selling off the other breeds. I am having way too much stress, with all this rain this month it stinks so bad, the runs are terrible mess and I used to have fun and enjoy this, now its a major pain in the butt and I slipped and fell and got chicken **** all over me including in my hair when I fell! My dogs don't require the work my chickens do, DH wants to know why I didn't just open a kennel. DOH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  good question and I guess I should have if I could afford to build one! Sorry for the rant I am miserable and confused and confused and even more confused.

I feel your pain on the stinky mess. My one coop still has not been cleaned out from the flooding and now smells like something died in there (Everyone is accounted for) I have my days. And now your song is running thru my head. Keep what you want and get rid of the rest. Do what makes you happy.

Hey OZ, wondering if alum foil put around the inner box would help protect eggs from xrays during shipping?

Chin up sally. We all have bad days. Should have heard me ranting like a crazed lunatic today! And all about stuff that just annoys the crap out of me. Fed up of people walking over me and then other bits and bobs! we all have bad days hopefully tomorrow will be better. Don't give up thats what I say
