I have a serama still sitting on a bunch of eggs, I had to move her so she would be alone and I thought she wouldn't sit back on them so I added another broody and she went running on her eggs!! LOL mission accomplished, lets hope this hen is a better momma than all the other 6 I have tried!

I'm just not sure how winter will go....

Are Serama's flighty. I have a friend that bought a frizzled serama roo and she is afraid it is going to hurt it's self because it is crazy in the cage and though she is trying to tame it by holding him.I hope the serama hatches some out, I have a friend who wants the chicks! I have pretty much narrowed my flock down, except brahma I am growing out that I need to do something with.
I may end up selling the entire flock splash roo splash hens and all, even the yungins. I just have way way too much on my plate and I don't have more money to keep putting into feed for no eggs. I know after this crazy molt things will kick in but by then its winter and who will want eggs anymore!

Your beautiful brahmas?
Think about it this way. You've stuck way too much money into feeding them to simply give up on them. Once they are through their molt, they should begin laying again. Lots of people buy eggs during the winter. I don't like having to use heat lamps in the winter, but I overall prefer winter chicks.
I hope that all is well on your end.![]()
Thanks, I don't know how long it takes. I know he will be as fast as possible. The vet I've been talking to is incredibly nice and spends hours talking to me about everything.ok I give up, I cannot quote or anything, have done all the changes on my laptop. anyway Good luck with all the testing this week, how long until results?
