Yay Kelly!!! So you have a total of four? Oh.... I so can't wait. Love the "Pirate Ship" coop. Too cute! 3D, I'm building another coolerbator for spring time hatches too. That way, I have two hatchers & one incubator going all spring. Yes... I think there needs to be HA (Hatchers Anonymous). I'm hooked! Lol!
LOLOL

I think everyone should try building an incubator! It's very satisfying to build something on your own and then have it work to incbuate/hatch eggs!! So I give a big

to building an incubator, it's very inexpensive when compared to purchasing one.

Sally - I was looking at your pallet coop and I think I am going to build one once it gets warmer around here!!

True that!

Hey everyone...things are not looking good for the last 2 eggs...we assisted the hatch, his beak was out but he could not get out...I didn't want to do this but did it the way I read everyone has done it...he is out of the shell but something is weird around his umbilical cord, looks very large. He is breathing shallow and is blue, I don't think he's going to make it...but hubby insisted I ask for advice

He passed, there was something wrong with his bottom...his insides where out...? What in the world happened? Hubby is freaking out I would be but obviously he was deformed

What do we do about the last egg? Do we give it time? When do you choose to assist? I have a bad feeling about assisting ....it has a small crack in it shell but no movement...humidity does not go down when we open up the incubabator so how does shrink wrap happen?

So I am learning that it wasn't deformed it just hadn't absorbed its yolk sack...Damon felt it couldn't breath so he assisted ...I'd like to think he wouldn't of made it anyways but now I think he needed more time. I am not telling my husband that because he is already upset...so should I leave the last egg to do its thing? There is a crack, no pipping and no movement ...ugg and nobody is online

It was the yolk. Did you help it out too early??

I guess so..my husband insisted it was the right thing to do and I knew it wasn't
