serama are hatching! HOWEVER I have six with mals! what on earth! never had that many before!

I swear I turned them more in the new cabinet, and I rigged those egg holders so they wouldnt fall out! I only had four that had lost weight too fast in the reg cooler, all other eggs ccl and brahma are starting to pip right! very very weird!

Sometimes I dont feel like trying to understand and just say the dumb serama hens laid upsidedown eggs! ughhhhh I had an order for 15+ and now lucky if we get 13!

maybe they just dont like turners and like to lay horizonal IDK drives me insane this morning, I swear I was thinking and looking in the bator for an hour trying to backtrack and figure it out!

oh and the mals had all drowned/died but one! that one was halfway zipped and I finished just in case, I cant loose any of them!

My feeling is the serama genetics suck

there were just not enough imported.

They are a nightmare all round - from hatching to shipping

Sally, it's not as fancy as your chart 'cause I haven't figured out how to "drive" excel yet, lol. Curiously, do you use excel to make your charts? If not, what do you use?

Amazingly both eggs that I've damaged are still alive and going good. I did find a quiter last night and upon opening it I found the most Braddock baby inside. Im guessing it was day 16 or so. I do have pictures of anyone wants to see.

I will give you the file and add it to the hatching 101 article, I have to get my day 18 weights and then I will have added all the formulas for most weigh days, unless you want to copy paste the formulas, I dont have time to mess with it right now, had to clean coops and get all living things, including kids out of my house! lol I wish I could shake the house out like a blanket! the dust is horrible and four dogs playing in mud and then bringing it in to dry and shaking dust everywhere I am at wits end with them. I want to lock them outside for a day! I cant keep them outside unattended because they dig to get my chickens, this will be stopped tomorrow as I have in hand my electric fence box and wire! I never thought I would be happy to see them get shocked, but after all the chickens I lost, I may take a moment of pleasure before being upset for them LMAO!!! Call me fickle

I have not had any issues with serama at all, I have hatched way too many already, but this time is weirdness!!! fresh week old eggs, because they have issues with molting and broodiness, I had three laying for about a week in the past three months I am frustrated with them!

As far as mals, seriously no clue, its not the birds, hatched plenty from them. only thing different is that I incubated in the cabinet verticle and not horizonal. go figure. This is the first and only set in the cabinet so far. if I have another like this I KNOW its the verticle of them.

I blame the weather... My first 2 hatches were early now Im looking at another day 23 or so hatch... Means I will probably have to assist or rather convince my dh to. Since I'm going to be at work all day tomorrow.
