Thats far for hatching eggs, I pray they only send you fresh eggs! note air cell size when you get them! I never order eggs farther than a neighboring state, horrible on the eggs and most times you cant count on them sending fresh eggsThey're coming from Pennsylvania. I'll read the article, thanks!

Quote: Pretty sure they'll be no more than a few days old. It's an egg swap between cyber peafowl friends, so all we'll be out is the shipping and our time. It'll be a good experiment for both of us.

good call on the swap! awesome!
She was really nice and just offered to send them to me if I paid for shipping. Not sure how many she's sending, but they're all colors I don't have - white, silver pied and pied, I think. All I can send her are plain-ole India Blue.good call on the swap! awesome!
Sorry for the long wait to reply Sally. I really just put them on the counter top and let them sit. What is the best method?lol
horror story hatch eh?
I set two week old eggs and dont have issues, how do you store them?
So sorry... I know turkeys can get it, but it's pretty rare, I think. Call your local avian pathologist and ask them if they'd be interested in doing a necropsy on him, I bet they would be. If you decide to necropsy him yourself, be sure to take lots of those good pictures that you're so good at taking.Ugh! I have a turkey with mareks disease. Now I have to put down a 20lb turkey tom (he used to be 40lb), not a happy day.
On a brighter note, my muscovy mamma hatched 16 out of 17 eggs! Gotta get a freezer.
