Had one this morning pipped yesterday about noon. One with a star crack late afternoon who i thought had died zipped out in no time flat this morning but the well pipped guy was still the same as 16 hours before. The dry one started to pick in the hole so got it out sure it was dead...but no peep peep peep.So assisted took offsome shell a big ol foot comes flying out I got him out by picking off shelll but looked ready to come out no blood a wing dried to the membrane. So out peeping but although he looks ok he cant seem to stand just laying peeping so not sure it will make itOut of 4 assists i have had only one lived to be normal ..My long winded point many that cant get out are not really totally healthy so often if they die as they hatch they would anyway later so you shouldnt kick yourself over it

I've tried the dry incubation method I guess I'll do it again
You could try shooting inbetween 30's n 40's I did a dry incubation so we just never let it fall below 30 and never above 40...then in lockdown I go into the 60's but ask everyone else because this is only my second time with incubating

Good Morning!! Well I will not start this question out "Does anyone know" LOL because I know y'all do! How much do shipped eggs go for? I found a post on craigslist, someone wants some eggs to hatch. They are kinda local so ...How would I go about this? Do you take the money first ..after? How much would I charge for my eggs? I have Silkie mixed with Frizzle and how do you package them? I haven't replied to the post yet because I want to know what to charge.

I just sold 10 eggs yesterday for $2. It is what I would charge for eggs to eat and they are the same thing. Now when I get serious about breeding my Black Orps I will charge about $3 per egg. I won't ship though. Too much risk as we know and I don't want to have to mess with packing and going to the post office with young kids in tow.

maybe some sugar water will give it a little perking up? What breed of chicken is in your avi photo?

Did you try sugar water savachick or pedialyte....??? how is she?

This morning I had two ducklings hatched and one was half out and now when I went for pics she is stiff!!! I almost flipped, she made it that friggen far!!! I pulled her out of the shell and it was filled with globby blood!!!! she musta ruptured her navel veins or something!!! OMG I was so sad!!!! WE ONLY have two ducks and I swear I WILL NEVER EVER HATCH ducks again!! or else I need to do ALOT MORE RESEARCH because I should have done some things different during incubation but I chose dry incubation route.. NOT AGAIN for DUCKS!!!

QUESTION: what kinda dish and depth water do I need for newly hatched ancona ducklings?
