Sally Sumi Brookhaven calling all constant hatchers... hope you are on ..question .

.You may know ...had a baby hatch trying to get out of the shell for a few hours and looked like the memebrane was drying up as a lot of shell was off. so ..sprayed in there to take him out and assist (smack my hands) and added some water as another has pipped ..
Now that this guys out....the humdity is like 85 now .I opened the bator to lower it but doesnt seem to have done much good .dont want to chill the new g uy or shrink the cracked ..What would you do?.... any ideas?
Wonder if it hurts any of the eggs at this point.now i had 3 or 4 ..... 3 for sure that looked good on day 17 ....Now one is out and one star cracked. ...Huum think it will drowned any left not cracked if there are any? This is day 22 but my temp on this bator went to 98 for day 18 and 19 why i think they are late so could be more coming

Too high humidity during incubation is not good, but once they start hatching it doesn't matter so much. High humidity is good as it keeps the chicks damp enough not to get shrink wrapped in the membrane. What is also important now is good ventilation as the chicks are breathing and will need plenty oxygen.

New probem what to do for wrey? neck?if you are still on.
First chick born seems to not be able to get its head out of the hatch position all the way . Was laying on its back kicking and peeping seems to have gone up some now 1+ l hour later and got itself to a corner somanybe rectified but Sleeping now chuin down normal stomach down However neck looks really long to me but .still wet. Its big and its strong. Not sickly seeming.

Went into look seems ok now .guess it was just b/c it was newly hatched Thaks again..

Ok just got done with morning chores and went in to check on chicks, it was hard not to do it first thing this morning but I know I am a procrastinator when it comes to chores, so 6 of them have pips and I video taped the eggs just for like 30 seconds to put on facebook because my great niece was here when I started this, she was on vacation from Michigan and she wanted to stay with me till they hatched she's 7, so I told her I would video it and share it on facebook so she could see. She didn't even want to go to Disney so that she could stay, now that's dedication.

it all sounds okay to me! My incubator sucked and I am very surprised that my Hope hatched!

MY EGGS ARE HERE!!!!!!!!!! They are resting now and were VERY well packed. Please bear with me if I turn into a stress puppy! Another BYCer who bought eggs from the same seller posted some pics of her babies and they were adorable! There was even a SILVER chick.

I may have to keep one if we end up with a silver....
