Glad momma is doing well and the pups too...but no pips ? ? ? holy moley...

She had 7, been long two days. 6 r doing great, there are a few tri colors but all beautiful look like Momma.. Have a pup who needed surgery, will update and explain when can get on laptop. No pips : (

Yay for puppies! Hope your little sick one is doing better after surgery. I was a closer guess on the number of pups than the vet.

Nice litter You will be in love shortly and so hard to let them go then later .
Nothing is cuter than a baby puppy. Hope the last one is ok.

If i had seen this sooner I might have been able to help you with some info on the puppy delivery long distance any way . i have had 14 puppy deliveries with my dogs in the last 8 or 9 years .
Big and little dogs. If you have any other situations as they grow just PM me,I might be able to help..

I might tell you one thing if its your first litter. If not you already know this....but its important....

The first day or 2 if she is on her first litter watch the puppies as sometimes they dont realize how many they have and they are so small they lay on them and could smother them.
This has happened with my chihuahuas and my Mastiffs both lay on the babies .
Actually the mastiffs you have to take the pups out of the box for the first 2 weeks or so until they walk after theynurse and put them in a box NEXT to MOm unless they are nursing or she could smother a baby or squish them (175 lbs on a 2 lbs new puppy)
After about 2 days they seem to KNOW how many they have and what they are and are more careful but once in a while one gets behind her etc anyway .

My hatch busted..no chicks Well i sure wasnt careful with my humidity this time and made some big blunders so that or shipped
They sent 18 for buying 12 so maybe they have had this problem with their eggs and were trying t omake up for it by giving me a better chance or or maybe it was just me.

Ugggg I could have called you, it was such a terrible night... I will post details....

FYI Nothing showing on my only lockdown silkie and its the middle of day 21..............sighhhhhhhhhh Its been such a tough two days with this pup delivery and I mean tough horrible terrible!!
Puppies updates 3 girls and 3 boys are doing fine, fourth little girl was born and Maddy was biting cords too short and this ones intestines came outside her body, had surgery to correct, its not looking good for her at all but I am doing my best. I am mentally and physically drained. I will NEVER do this again, NEVER. This has been more stressful than my own 5 pregnancies. I could not get this mom to stop trying to eat their feet and bellies. So I had to sit there on the floor for over a day and let these little things feed and wipe them clean while trying to keep Maddy from eating them!!! Finally around 4 in the morning the cords dried out enough that she let them alone and was cleaning them and helping them go potty. I was very close to having a major nervous breakdown, honestly. Breeding is def not for me. When I was in my early 20's and didnt know any better, I had three sets of pups with not a problem at all!!! Maddy was a first timer and way too aggressive in her duties, but she is finally doing what she needs to do. I just hope poor little "Tink" has the stregnth to make it, poor little thing... I will keep in touch,if your interested please msg me your no and I will get back to you after all the clouds move away : ( Thanks so much for everyones help, I sure used everybit of knowledge you all sent my way. For this I am so greatful, thank you...

I'm so sorry that you had such a hard time and that she was overly motherly in her duties... Poor little pup! Hope it makes it. They are all so stinkin cute!
