Gotta share this pic! This is my favorite chick out of my hatch.

Meet Panda
Awwww Perfect name! :D She's cute!! What kind of comb is that?

Congrats 3D & Sparky, sounds like both your hatches are going well.
Thank you!!! :D

how are your eggs dogin 3D??
Great! I have 8 fertile and are doing much better (as of growth) than the last incubation, and I had some infertiles, but only one died because it was on a shelf (I didn't have enough room for the egg on the ground, so I put it on the shelf to see what would happen- died at day 7 or so, presumably because of excess heat). So I am feeling quite positive!

I absolutely love the caption contest entries. Some of them are simply fantastic. I had such a laugh earlier when I read through them. I can't wait for the next bunch.

was thinking about it, but the ducks stench is invading the house from the garage!! pondering moving them outside to at least the shed for now!

I gave you plenty of warning... If they are feathered out they will be fine. I think my ducks do better with the cold than the big fluffy chickens that I have. Glad to hear Bubba is doing better. Did you check to make sure he was a Bubba and not a Bubbette?

I just got home... Checked on the bator-- 5 have hatched so far (3 black chicks, 2 golden ones) and 2 are zipping (both black chicks) I can't tell weather or not the rest of the eggs have externally pipped. Woot!!!
