because if there is one, its the spot where he is trying to break through the membrane.... if when you wet it its got fluid under it, simply put back in the bator AS IS and WAIT!

But if the membrane is TIGHT (like those space saver bags sucked the air out) AND there IS a brown spot and NOT ALOT of fluid ... lightly dampen membrane and you can his beak and only open the inner membrane at his beak, only enough so his nostrile is out, he should be sorta sideways, thats ok, just so he has clear path to air, then put him back and WAIT WAIT and follow that assist article.... it takes a long time to assist a chick sorry I have to get ready!! ugggg

I dropped a few drops of water in the egg. My humidity is 58.

That baby needs more time. Read through Sally's article carefully and keep the humidity high. 58% is good, but if you can get it a bit higher it will be even better. Good luck!

Leave it in the incubator until the veins disappear or at least a lot more. The veins are very prominent. The chick isn't ready to come out yet.

Wanna say a big thank you to everyone helping me get through the first hatch! I'm keeping a close on my my eggs and ESP. The one I opened. Do u think its doing ok as far as the membrane being wet enough. My humidity is 65% now. I just don't want this little guy to dry out any!
