So for those of you who don’t venture over to my thread much – I had an eventful day. I had ordered and paid for 48 heritage eggs to come from Kansas to LA with shipping to be on March 25
.
The gentleman that sold them to me – by error – sent them yesterday. Now if you do the math, they will need to hatch while I am in the Philippines for Easter. The seller graciously apologized and said he would ship on the right date – but in the meantime I had to find someone to take the eggs off my hands.

I now know how Sally must feel with all the PMs. It went nuts. A long story short – several lucky SoCal people will have some fine free birds.

On top of that I candled 41 shipped eggs on Day 3 – yes 3. All I can say is I love white eggs. Those Golden Campines were veining beautifully. The Buff Brahmas were harder to see but there were veins. The marans – I could see six spots only.

A good day

Gosling update:

I came home and she's still alive. The thing on her navel is drying off, and she was even trying to walk.

If she makes it and she is in fact a 'she' than her name will be Miracle. That little gosling has had all the odds thrown against her.
I just skimmed through the posts from the last 2 days. Had some stuff going on here and didn't post yesterday, long story. I just caught up with all the hatches and the gosling update now. I'm so glad to hear she's o.k.

Give her a kiss form me?

Oh no, I'm sorry Sally

I always check for pasty butt, but I must confess after the hatch is done and the navel's sealed I don't really think about it. I will now...

Oz, I have my work cut out keeping up with this thread already LOL I will read yours some day, promise. I'm glad to hear your hatches are going so well!

Okay, this morning= no pipping or any sounds from what I can tell. I tapped on the bator and heard nothing. Will they be fine until I get home at 4:00 this evening/afternoon? It's 7:00 in the morn. right now. They might be pipped, and I just can't see the pips, but if they aren't- will they make it another 9 hours?
