Still looks like a slipped tendon to me. That's exactly how mine carried their injured legs.

Did you look at the normal chick's legs to figure out where the tendon should be?

I'm glad that your vet freind is helping. If it's slipped tendon, she should be able to get it back in place. How old is the chick?
 
Also, you said the brace kept falling off. None of mine ever fell off.

Put gause around the leg and then use something straight like a portion of a popsicle stick or Q tip, and then use a large band aid and wrap it around. Make it fairly tight and it should go up most of the leg. Look at my avatar picture for a reference.
 
Poor little fuzz ball. Hope your vet friend can fix her leg.

I mostly read and never really post on here but your definitely not spam Sally ! I love your articles and have read them multiple times these past few weeks and they've been a great help to me ( got my best hatch ever to after reading through them ) Don't let rude people get you down !

This might be a silly question but ive been candled my duck eggs one shipped & the others from my duck and ive noticed a dark dot growing in the small end of the egg, in the shipped & some of the others. is that their waste?
 
Hi everyone thank you all for the kind posts was long night but couldn't save him. He had not been growing like the others ?? Don't know why he hatched himself fluffed nice but wouldn't eat it drink don't know why ...sorry for the short post ... They are on day 23 now, so... 6 days to go, which brings us to Monday/Tuesday.
LOCKDOWN for duckies!!! wait what breed are they again? dolp! ducks are freaks! LOL
