Ok, by craming every available surface with wet wash cloths, I finally got the humidity to 80%. I don't have any more pips though
It's only day 22, so I won't worry too much yet.

They didn't think the tendon was slipped, I am more with you on it, but none of us could find it. I tried and tried to find it, manipulating her leg back and straight to try to get anything to change.
I totally understand the urgency, and frankly it may already be too late. The joint seems stiffer. So she's getting physical therapy every time I go in to the brooder room.
You don't sound rude at all. You are so much more the expert, I wish you lived near me!I am thinking of re-splinting it today in a natural bend, but almost straight set. At least that way she will have a straight-ish stiff leg instead of a very bent stiff leg.
Yikes! are you sure your hygro is working knitty?Blarg, my daughter read the humidity gauge wrong. All available surfaces covered with wadded up wet wash cloths, and 58% is the best I can do.
Yay Rusty!!! and you will do great because you did research and reading! I was like that with my silkies, standing and waiting but grrrrr I swear everytime I dont check they decide to lay! 48 degrees one day and then 27 the next! I just dont get this weather!! no wonder kiddo is sick!Hi all!
Well I am getting close to taking the plunge! After reading, reading and reading some more (especially hatching101). I think I about ready to set my first batch in the incubator. I plugged it in this morning. Will be collecting eggs for a couple of more days, though. I have almost been standing out in the coop waiting for the girls to lay so I can get eggs in the basement. It was only 19 here this morning. Waiting till the weekend to put eggs in and try to count the right days for hatch as grand kids will be here during spring break. Granddaughter is really excited as they had about 25 barred rocks. Lost to weasel though and I told her that if dad predator proofed she could have the chicks. If we get a hatch and girls instead of boys should make her a nice little layer flock again.
