awww crap...now I have a chick that pipped the wrong end!

Did she interact with the chick at any stage? Showed them food etc? Did she call them when she went back to the box and are there eggs in it?

No she never did any of this. It was really strange. She's now setting again on about 10 eggs so I'm just gonna let her be. Thanks!!

It happens. Just leave it be but keep an eye on it. Some manage to hatch on their own and some require help. Hopefully yours will manage just fine.

Ugh! You poor thing! This has not been an easy hatch for you. Here is a link to my wrong end pipper. There are two cases on there actually. One success and one failure. Read Sally's article and maybe my thread, I posted lots of pics on it so maybe you can see what to do and what not to do. Sumi helped me through both! I'm heading into night class, but wishing you the best of luck!

wow blizzard queen has my kinda hatch luck !!!

i have 6 of my bantam eggs now and got the incubator soaking to clean it again and gonna set it up tommorow .... and while i was being impatient to get that started DH took me to TSC and got me 12 little brahmas (sp?) ... hoping both girls will lay again tommorow so i can set a total of 8 .. do not really want to do a stagger hatch .....

Not sure what to do about splay leg ... the only little one i had with it had other prob and sadly lost it before i could even think about fixing it ...

The saddle shaped air cell seems very big for day 8. Again sorry for no pics not possible guess i will have to wait and see

you do know they get huge and eat as much as turkey right? lol
