Heyyy guys! Sorry I haven't posted anything recently... I read all the posts but I don't have any bators running or problems with my birds so I haven't had much to say! Lol.. But yeah dry incubation has worked best for me too, but I've only incubated a few times so I really don't have much of a say haha. I agree with anything Sally and silver and sumi are sayin cause they're like pros! Haha

Thanks! It's running now dry with both plugs in and is registering between 99.5-100.1 @ 24% humidity. I'm going to remove one plug and see what happens. I tested the room to see what the humidity is and it registered @ 76% Aggghhh! I don't plan on setting eggs until Saturday. I hope I can get it figured out. I want to test run the last 3 days as well before setting so I have an idea of where to start. Sally, I did read your posts. Problem is, I've read so many... And can't keep them straight. Lol! I'll re-read for sure.

I did read the article Bill W. wrote too. I hope I'm not just making this harder than it really is. I really do appreciate all of everyones help/advice. Kelly77, I hope you get your incubator figured out as well. I contemplated building my own as well. Maybe I will attempt a "hatcher" first?

I finally got a good nights sleep last night!

temp and humidity was stable all night! I really do think the higher temp the previous night was due to our body heat in the room. Last night we turned the heat down to 65, I just about froze but this helped the incubator stay at 99 degrees all night! Humidity is in the 40's. We do our rotation at 6am, 2pm, and 10pm. I did a complete move around this morning...any thoughts on this? We thought maybe since it is still air we should move the eggs around? Or should we just rotate them and leave them in there spots? A mother hen would just push them around right? She does not do measuring. Well I am happy to say we are on day3! Still a ways to go...and hopefully I will be able to video them hatching, we go to a family gathering Christmas eve and they are due that day! I am getting excited right now just thinking we will have baby chicks on Christmas day! This gives me an excuse to be short with family this year! LOL gotta love the crazy holidays

I used a fan in our incubator and we rearranged the eggs now and then as we found we had warmer and cooler spots in there, despite the moving air. Mother hens push and move the eggs round quite a bit. I hear they turn/rearrange the eggs up to 52 times a day! They do this to make sure all the eggs develop at the same rate.

yup I just finished up moving all Harmonys and My eggs around the bator when turning them... She didnt have time this morning as she was a turd'le to get up!!!

I had to switch her 4 viable serama over to the stryo hatch bator, as they sure look ready to hatch cause I did a fast candle.... two have weird saddle air cells from shipping and the other two are normal just look too small, second guessing myself yet again, HOWEVER that is sooooo aloud since these are living little beings right???? In any even I am surprised that we even have 4 going into lockdown, stupid PO I wish I know which one it was that has the ignorant dock workers!!
