Well first flat is full for the nyd hatch lol. I'm setting every single egg my girls lay up to the day plus ones I bought. Should be fun to max out the ultrabator in its beta version

I am thru for the year but mainly because the only laying around here is the duck and I cant see keeping poor little duckling messy babies in the big brooder tub in the basement ALL winter so I am done 'til spring !!!

That is so sad, I have a hen that I noticed the others are not letting her eat...but she does get some by sneak and running. I am wondering now if I should take her aside and make sure she eats. So sorry Sally...

I had that issue couple months ago.... solved it with my boot and pelting the bullies with corn for a week. Now the bullied hen is the fattest one out there lol

I am gonna watch adding hens a bit more closely, its NOT JUST ABOUT picking on each other, as I found out they can starve each other!

There are dominate hens/roosters in every flock. They eat first and pretty much when ever they want. If others are eating and the dominate wants to eat more they will chase everyone else off. Some chickens are so submissive to the dominate that they wont fight it. It is like high school in the chicken run.
