Good morning! Nope... I'm going to candle tonight. (day 6). When I went to bed last night around 11:00 my humidity was 40% and when I woke up at 7:00am it was 15%. At some point during the night my water ran out. Yikes! It is now back at 40% after added a little more than warm water. Do you think they're going to be ok? Should I wait now to candle until tomorrow. I've been trying to mess with the incubator as little as possible and thought I still had about a day before adding more water. Ugh!
They should be fine and do not think it will hurt them if you candle already either !!

Wow Sparky! Those eggs look huge! Congrats! 3Dchicken, can't wait for updates. Thanks Ozexpat... My fingers are crossed. I hope I won't always fuss over the hatching process. I keep asking myself, are they fertalized, (will candle tonight), will they all make it, which ones will... Which won't... Should I moved them to the homemade Hatcher day 18...or just use my purchased incubator for hatching, should I install a fan in the homemade now or wait until next hatch, average temperature in the homemade still air 101-102?, is it worth the risk?, would my hatch rate be higher leaving them in the store bought??? Ugh!!! I may need to have a glass of wine but after 21 days??? I could form a habit. Lol!
LOL you sound like a new incubator junkie and for me i always fuss over the whole process and worry lol

Today is officially hatch day! I am just waiting to hear them peep and break the shell! I will post pictures when they do! I am so excited! This is my first hatch, and I really want them to live!

It is now the beginning of day 22 for me and I am concerned. I really want them to hatch, and the wait is driving me insane!! Will one or two days late be bad?

I feel like they're dead... I think I am just freaking out.

https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/hatching-eggs-101 scroll down to approx LOCKDOWN day 18....and start reading and watching all those videos on helping and WHEN AND WHY.... and what is actually happening before and during their LONG HATCH process okl?

REMEMBER only you know what kind of environment they have been in, so you will need to judge or go with your gut after you do your homework ok????

You hear NO PEEPS, have no EXTERNAL PIPS?
Did you candle at lockdown and where there any internal pips??

When I candled at day 18, I didn't see any internal pipping. I don't hear any peeps right now... My incubator is home made, so I'm guessing the reason that they are delayed is because of ranging temperatures... but it wasn't really bad ranging temperatures- I don't think they were anyway...

Did you calibrate thermometers? what temps range? perhaps its all just because of a tad lower temp and its taking them longer! Dont give up hope and dont panic yet
