Okay. I'm sure I will be waking up throughout the night to check on them.

<hopefully!
I soooo hope you have a peep in the morning!!!!

its ok, air cells will be weird sometimes, they can hatch.... thats a  VERY viable egg!

Well, I think I need to have a talk with my hens because all 6 eggs look just like this one. I have 14 in the incubator... Only 6 look fertile. Should I leave the others for a few more days? There's a couple that are questionable and several that look like just a yoke inside.

def let them in for now! I will see what I can find on air cell ends

In the last portion of the oviduct, the vagina, a thin coating called "bloom" is applied to the
shell to keep harmful bacteria or dust from entering the egg shell pores. The egg passes
through the oviduct small end first, but is laid large end first. In the vagina, the egg is
turned horizontally just before laying. If the hen is disturbed on the nest, the egg may be
prematurely layed small end first. Oviposition is the act of pushing the egg from the
oviduct.

Is the lighter part of my egg normal then and should Iower my humidity then? It's been between 35% - 40%. Only one of the eggs looked like there might be a small air cell, but they all look lighter on the narrow end like the one in the picture.

sometimes I hardly see an air cell till day 7 sometimes they are really fresh .... thats why store eggs have such big flat ends on them after you boil them, because the air has slowly escaped over that time frame....

The egg is strange with all the veining on the top.... where exactly is the little chick? I cant tell from that pic

Not sure, upper center I think. I turned and turned, and couldn't see a dark spot. I looked up day 6 pictures online and they all looked just like mine. I'm feeling better now. Whew!
