The colours really help too! How many chickens have you got, Sparky?

This looks to be a well-thought-out thread. Some tricks here I can't use with my Calls but some info I am going to add to my "back pocket" of info as well. Thanks for starting a good thread!

I would love if you would share some hatching tactics with ducks!!!

Most of the info on the thread is thrown into an article for easy grabbing.... sorry its chaos yet, sometime I will clean it up its the hatching eggs 101 link and the other articles are in my sig as well.... But I must admit I have refered to everything in there and most more than once! Glad your with us!!! we are keeping the thread as alive as we can and to keep helping others! Its so nice when someone is usually checkin in on the thread when you need help or support!

I have an update! Hope is getting feathers all over now! She will be three weeks old on Tuesday! (or Monday....) She has feathers on her back and is starting to get some on her chest! She is so cute! And very feisty! She complains about everything! Of course that could be because she's a chicken, and chickens are naturally skittish. Anyway, that problem will be fixed sooner or later. :D Or at least improved. White leghorns are naturally a very skittish breed of chicken I've read.

I am going to re- arrange her brooder so I can easily open a part and she can get in and out at ease (when I let her, that is.) and I am going to try and litter train her! Anyone have info on that? Birds are creatures of habit, so I hope to try and instill that in her as soon as possible.

The neighbor who I got eggs from said he got rid of his rooster!!! :cd  He said he will get me eggs though! He is so nice! My mom was the one who called him, so I don't know what breed of chicken or nothing! I don't know how either. My mom told him about Hope, and he was happy about that! She really needs some friends! She said he'd call when he got them. He didn't say when he would get them, but I'm assuming I will be waiting a while. Who knows- maybe it's chicks he was talking about getting for me! My mom wasn't too keen on getting many details, but I am very grateful he's doing this!!!! I wonder what breed.......... :jumpy :ya

:D awesome!!!
