update on the silkie chick unable to stand or unwilling to stand. I put hobbles on him so at least he would hold his legs together. I also made some rings out of cardboard to try to keep him upright. It kinda works. I guess time will tell.
Hummm... My humidity keeps creeping up. I am now at 58% and I want to keep it under 60%. I never saw it go over 55% before adding the eggs (22, btw). :/ Hope it steadies out.
Inbreeding can sometimes cause genetic leg problems, but not always. I heard heat spikes during incubation can cause foot and leg problems and here's some more causes:I wonder if this leg problem could be genetics. Or maybe breeding was done to close.
