The Silkie was supposed to be White they are the White Silkie breed

Maybe you could just put a quarter over the hole instead. Maybe a piece of tape over the bottom of it to make it flatter.

Oh no! The ventalation plugs are still in!!!!! Will the chicks be ok while I'm at school? I don't get home for another 4 hour

The brahma is standing this morning! It looks like those little legs are straightening out!

Dry hatched this batch and it was day 21 yesterday evening. 13 out of 31 have hatched are the other 18 probably not going to? No more pips. This will be so disappointing because I have been really good about the temp and humidity and 31 made it to lockdown

Give them a bit more time. Hatches can get spread out over 2-4 days. If they haven't showed signs of pipping by this evening you can candle and check for internal pips and hold them against your ear and tap them with your fingernail. If there's a live chick in there it will respond to the tapping by either moving, tapping back or cheeping. Good luck and hope you get more!

Ok thank you. It was kinda nice to be able to get the other hatchlings out. And I will candle tonight if nothing by then. I am happy with 13 but sad if the rest die that means something went very wrong eek

BUBBA update...... only turning him upright time last night! checking every hour! so someone may get sleep tonight finally!! you betcha! MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

Yah!!! You've got a heart of gold to be setting ur alarm to ring houly just for one little chick who's been annoying the heck outta ya! Sleep well tonight! Wouldn't be surprised if you crashed eariler than this evening- an empty house, hubby at work, kids at school....

No I don't have the holes plugged but managed to cut up some sponges and squeeze them through the holes on the Bator and now my humidity is up to 65% heard some chirping last night in the incubator and saw some eggs rocking!! How long now? Today is day 21 and no piping yet but hoping ill come home to a few pipped eggs this afternoon! Fingers crossed! I don't think I was this nervous when I gave birth to my own children!!

Keep hatching you wont stress near as much!

I am a candler and internal pip looker aferer!! I would go to the assist article, read and do the candle tap listen and look for movements!

are they different breeds that remain? do you think you could have had a cold and hot spot in the bator?
