I've already done something about it. I was really stressed and I was sure that I'd lose him, so I went ahead and carefully tied the end off and pulled him out. I'll post pictures in a moment.
I don't know if it was the right thing to do, but it's already done. There is something right outside his navel that I don't know if it belongs in or out so I tied off the cord right after it. He's now resting on warm paper towels in the incubator.

Here's it's navel. I used yarn covered in antibiotics to tie the cord. See that thing sticking out? Does it belong inside the gosling or out?
Here's what was left in the egg after I finished. The gosling is covered head to toe in yolk.
