I had a chick hatch on day 25 once (under a broody). I've no idea how long overdue ducklings can go though. What is your humidity now?

SAD NEWS HALO has a broken leg and its not good, its just hanging there, he musta fell or got stuck or somethinfound him laying in the silkies run. No open sores nothing, just hangs.
It was between 69-75% & now I've been keeping it right around 85-88%. It's just weird that all three having internally pipped yet but the other four pipped internally a day before lockdown & died 2days later. I guess they come when they are good and darn well ready! I've heard people say keep your bator on 2-3 days after hatch for the tardy ones, it's just that I'm stressing since the other 4 didn't make it. Not one pip!!!I had a chick hatch on day 25 once (under a broody). I've no idea how long overdue ducklings can go though. What is your humidity now?
I had a chick hatch on day 27 which is 6 days overdue. My incubator temperatures ran pretty low for that hatch..So yesterday was hatch day and still not even an internal pip, I candled all 3 (4never made it passed internally pipping and died) are still moving. How long after hatch day is the longest anyone has had eggs hatch? (These are duck eggs by the way)
and is there anyway to tell if you have to much humidity? 3 of the 4 that died were shrink wrapped so I upped my humidity almost 3 days ago (they pipped internally early) but now I'm paranoid that I could get the humidity to high and they will drown. Aaarrgh!!!!!![]()
wow!I just remembered I looked up call duck hatching for someone... Apparently they pip internally and only pip externally after 24 hours, then rest for another 24 hours before slowly, slowly zipping over a few more hours.
