Grading Eggs

Before being sold in Colorado, all eggs shall be graded into Colorado consumer grades and weight classes which are based on USDA standards of quality. The grade of an egg is a guarantee of quality, AA being the highest. The grade is most easily determined by candling to gauge the size of the air cell in the large end of the egg. I thought eggs were graded by size. I guess this makes more sense for the age part. I guess you can have small AA grade eggs?

ok! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO if I dont hear from anyone on here in like 10 mins I gonna wash my dirty eggs in warm running water using a new sponge, dry quickly.... maybe blow dry on cool.... maybe not

???????? I have four eggs... cost me $$$$$ and I cant believe she shipped me dirty eggs!!!!

and it is poo not dirt so I NEED to get them clean.... I think..... and once I put them in the bator... should I .... hummmm.... I mean 'CAN I' wrap the sides in papertowel or tissue to prevent them from touching my other eggs....... VERY dissapointed in them!!!! but I do not want them hurting my other eggs but I paid way too much to toss them

Yes, use warm running water. Scrub gently with the sponge and don't submerge them for more than 30 seconds. Dry them with a towel.

I did read here somewhere to use a little sandpaper to clean them if really dirty. With them being porous, I think I would be afraid to wash with water

I'm so tired. I can't even be bothered to candle my, 22 eggs on day 14.

Would it really hurt to miss it? I had a quick peek at a couple the other day to check air cell and they looked spot on. Even my shipped saddle backs have stopped growing! So I think I may tomorrow night I'm shattered!!
