Thank you for the advice Chicksooner. I don't have high hopes for the chicken eggs that will go into the incubator later(with so many things going against them such as age, being shipped, etc.) But I can't just let them go without trying. I might even try to get my hands on another broody hen and set them under her. The one i got from my friend didn't wait two seconds before settling in on the eggs i gave her.
Every single egg has hatched PERFECTLY so far. Something was bound to happen
I told him to go get my boy back from whoever he gave (probably sold) him too. I'm so shocked that he did this. I mean we talked about for months before we left and I gave him enough building materials for at least 3 coops and runs and my 20+ pullets and all that food and money. I could've sold the stuff and the chickens, but I wanted to know they're going to a good home. So much for that. He's got 6 of the pullets left. That's it. I know they're struggling financially, so I made sure the chickens came with everything from food and housing, so they will not be a burden on him, even if something happens and they don't lay. :/
