Soooo... My temps were holding at 102, and went down 100 when it got colder out. They fluctuated between 100 and 102 for about five days (I am not looking at my notes right now).
Last night it was time to pull the (air) plugs. Today the temp is 99, and fluctuating to 100.
If after 24 hours it isn't going past 100, should I adjust temps, or not risk it?

Hey Sally thought I would share as I was watching your video on FF feed, I started watching your video on the frozen chicks, when someone else started to watch

picture not clear as I was close, but you get the jest, she just kept turning her head from one side to the other, she is still young, just about year old and trying to figure out where noises come from, the funniest is the ATT commercial where the little girl makes the noise like a dog or something, just drives her crazy, it doesn't help that the old man thinks it is hilarious and replays it over and over again

Since the drama department STILL isn't finished with the plays yet, I decided to make a new-and-improved HOMEMADE bator based on the one they are using at the moment! :D lol I am way too excited about this but I haven hatched chicks in SO LONG

still air should try to get it high at top of the eggs. I wonder why you are having so much flux... does your thermo read point degrees say 99.7 99.8 and such? I had one that skipped numbers!
95 97 99 100 finally realized the digital cheapo had to go!!

All right I am jumping in on the end of this one, I am going to attempt hatching vertical in cartons this run, and in a homemade incubator. It was intended to be a hatch-er but it holds temps better than my purchased one that I returned. So here we go! We are in lock-down, humidity is holding at 65% I have 10 eggs a mix of blue and lavender Ameracauna that have been subjected to bad post handling a few heat spikes a couple lower nights....well I hope something hatches! Best of luck to everyone else as well!!!

is this the light? I wish this was in brahma with the big feathered feet, I too am partial to my brahma and cochins big legs and feet, makes for all that fluffy to be more evenly distributed.

I am not a fan of mottled birds, the chaos in coloring actually annoys me or hmmmm .... I cant think of a correct description, just don't prefer them,
I like clean perfect looking birds LOL
but I have no clue what that has to do with this conversation

The one in the picture in the quote that was quoted by the above quote was from a coronation. The darker necked one is a light (does that make sense?)

I'm expecting 6 mallard(gray) runner eggs and 8 more call (3snowy& 5gray) eggs to replace those inferts. The 6 gray runners are the ones I ordered 3 months ago so I'm glad he didn't rip me off but as of like 2 weeks ago he wasnt getting more than 1 egg every other day so I just hope he tested fertility. I told him I would rather wait for fertile eggs than have him rush and not be sure!
I need a brake from hatching ducks! I had to do like 9 assists in a week period! It's so nerve racking. But now I find out the lady I got the trout runners from put her dusky drake in with her girls cause the trout drake wasn't being frisky. She sent me a pic of the offspring that they've thrown and its gorgeous! Also she is in Oregon, she packs really well, I get them for crazy cheap and I have people who really want these color ducklings. So I'm probably getting a dozen sent next week........ but then I'm done!!!!!!!! U guys have to hold me to it cause I must be a glutton for punishment or a masocist or something!!
