Hey Look we are at the top! WE ROCK!

We don't cheer we play the game! whoot whoot

A lurker is a member of an online community who observes, but does not actively participate.
Lurking allows users to learn the conventions of an online community before they actively participate, improving their socialization when they eventually de-lurk. However, a lack of social contact while lurking sometimes causes loneliness or apathy among lurkers and installs fear in participants (I added that last part) LMAO!. SO STOP LURKING and Join us in conversation and learning!

DE-LURK today! You can do it, we know you can!

Howdy,
Well son came over for the past couples days and got all my onions and potatoes planted and mad a little hoop over it, because every time he walked away or turned his back my Spitzenhauben
's, would pull out the onions. He came in and I looked at him and said hey look out the window
Laughing-2.gif
all the birds were loving the fresh tilled ground and pecking around, and pulling the onion sets out and dropping them, he got so mad, that was a whole days work ruined. He just doesn't realize that they was fertilizing the ground and stirring it around. He spent the day guarding it, until I told him there was PVC pipe he could use to make a hope over it and cover with bird net. It was simple and we got it done quick. No baby yet either, that full moon wasn't on our side and she is officially 1 day past due date. If she doesn't go by Friday they are inducing her that morning.

ok here goes a story, perhaps this is the real reason you don't candle or touch your eggs during lockdown....
two marans in the bator, I put them in lockdown last night because I knew I had a full house today. I didn't candle as the DH was messing with wiring in the lower level and it was too bright. so I decided to do it quick since the baby and some kiddos left. Well I get the egg out as I am reaching for the flashlight little luke grabs the light from me as I am balancing the egg to candle and splat, not that I am real tall for a large drop, however this is an egg right? uggggg tile floor even worse. I couldn't feel movement, the embryo actually feels very tiny to me, which is weird and it still holds ALOT of water in it. I put a towel around the broken part and put it in the bator. I cannot believe that outer membrane is still intact! I don't expect it to live if it is still alive, but I don't have anything better to try to save right? Now where is that "WHAT TO DO WITH A DROPPED EGG at DAY 18" article??????? I cant seem to find any help! I know I am wacked but lucas is devastated and if anything he still thinks its alive in there and give him time to forgive himself.

HUMPTY is Still ALIVE!!! He actually moved the egg out of its little paper towel nest sometime last night, and that blood looks just like a dot on the dry towel. They entire back side of shell is gone he is sitting on. I sure "isn't" gonna mess with him! I know I am gonna get even more excited and then the little dumpty will croak on me at hatch day. I am amazed, holy crow its actually still alive.
