might try it one day and see since i have seven roos
Patience is the key. Heck when I put new hens in with the others, I just have to walk away. Otherwise they will drive me crazy. I want to break it all up. But they figure it out sooner or later.

Ummmmmm........................One of my GLW Hens was crowing a few minutes ago or I was sill groggy from fishing all night................................She/He still looks like a hen................................But that does explain why I only get 3 eggs a day from those 4 hens............................But he/she still looks like a hen.............................

My chick made it!!! Umbilical still needs to finish closing but looks good.

Sumi-how do I get big momma up? It has been more than 3 days. The chicks are eating and drinking. I picked her up and made it walk around for a few minutes yesterday.

If you don't have a roo around the most dominant hen will take over and act like a roo, sometimes she'll "crow" like a roo as well. This is more common with older hens.

Pick her off the nest and put her somewhere outside with her chicks. Then block access to the nest until it gets dark, before letting her back in with her chicks for the night.
