Hi Everyone- Hope y'all are having a Terrific Saturday afternoon!
I accomplished something this afternoon (other than going through tons of stuff)
and I wanted to share it with y'all and see what ya think:
It's my first step in getting the ducks their new home-

LL

I wanted to do the pond first, I can build the pen around it!!
Took me all morning to dig that hole- Me and the DD did it, leveled it all out- backfilled, watered it in and graded around it!
those dang ducks better like it or they will make a nice dinner for someone!!
This was my Mom's koi pond. I think she would approve of the use of it for my duckies

That poor thing has been empty since we moved her here right before she passed in 2009.
I really didn't think I would find a use for it, but then we got ducks, so.........now i just have to figure out a filtering system- any suggestions? The pond is maybe 100 gallons at most.
That looks very nice! Now we just need a pic of it with some ducks on it

Hey guys i haven't been on in a while, it's been crazy around here. Have had numerous very difficult hatches and my mother in laws dog died today so its been a very emotional day. He's been sick and we took him to the vet 2 days ago because he was acting very funny. My husband and I told the vet we had treated thos wound he had and were worried it had gone into his blood stream maybe (infection) he told us it was a hotspot and we had correctly got ton rid of it. He said bear had arthritis and was old for a big pure bred German Shepard. He gave us pain meds and sent us home. He seemed better the next day but doped up from the meds. The next day he got worse, last night he drank two things of water then went outside (to pee I thought) but this morning we couldn't find him and we knew, my husband came inside crying. He found him on the side of the house in the backyard. We buried him and are going to plant some beautiful flowers all around him.

Sorry for the depressing news but I do also have a question. I have about 5 eggs that go into lockdown on Monday that have very wobbley air cells still. I know u hatch them upright in a carton but do they have a really hard time internally pipping or hatching even??????? Help cause I'm stressing out! I only had one call duck make it last time and 2 of these are more calls.
But I did have a domestic teal duck and 8 Aussie spot ducks hatch over the last 2 days! I will post pics later.
Will someone let chicknfun and silver know that I'm alive please?!!!! Miss u girls!
