She doesn`t look happy. Poor girl. I hope she gets well soon. How old is she?
Crap, sorry to hear that. Heat spikes can really mess up a hatch and you're right, it can cause deformities. Usually their eyes if it's in the early stage of incubation and I think foot and leg problems as well. When I went back to look it had busted. It was a terrible hatch. This was the 120 degree spike eggs. I think that caused deformities and weakness. A lot pipped but died in the shell. I had several like this. I had several hatch and then die. Most didn't pip or do anything. I cleaned everything out. I ended up with just a handful of chicks. This is also the one that I didn't raise the humidity up so high. When I egg topsied. I didn't see shrink wrap. Funny thing is a lot of the chicks were not in the right position. These were my eggs. Not shipped. I'm going to chalk this one up as the huge temp spike and move on.
I hope so. After years of working with some of the south American parrots, I never thought I'd care about talking ability again.pretty little pied fellow, american, spend enough time with him, he will talk for you![]()
I have one obstinate production red broody. She's two years old, and hasn't laid in like nine months. She has an impressive set of spurs, too.Somebody there suggested broody maybe. I know Production Reds aren't very good at it. In 2 years never had one do that yet. Going to grab a few eggs just to see if she will move on them.
Oh, poor fellow. I'm so sorry about Gooselynn.Gooser is very lonely... He keeps crying and whimpering. I can't always be holding him. I checked craigslist and there aren't any ducklings or goslings in our area. :/
I've seen that with a piglet once. I had a ver friend come round to see and he explained to me that the skull bones did not fuse properly and brain fluid leaked out and formed that sac. We had the piglet euthanised.I looked at the other thread you have, and you said you don't think she's broody, right? That's the only thing I can think of. Maybe you could give her yogurt or some scrambled eggs, and see how she does with that. The poop thing is weird!!
I saw this in the new member thread. That is one of the craziest things I have seen!!
