its possible without but way less stressful with a hatcher-batorIf I stager groups of eggs I need a second incubator for lock down right?
pretty much - and thats why they need a coop with a covered run - along with chukars, pheasants and peafowl.i thought i read somewhere that guineas are more "wild" than regular chickens and don't even want a coop..is this true?

I will eventually free range part of my flock of guineas. I will need to build it up first - so it wont be till late next year. They need to be trained to return to the coop at night. They prefer to hide their eggs so you have to let them out after lunch - they lay most of their eggs in the morning.
The upside is they love bugs and rodents. Two things I have no shortage of.

I hope this is the sign things have turned around for you.Nothing died today. I had one this morning that was looking like it was going to die. I put it out in the sun with its on mix of meds. I put it back with the others tonight. Hopefully the meds are taking hold.
Hey Oz...I just set a dozen pheasant eggs for my husband!! I will try and see if I can get hold of several dozen more for you.
