get a cheap little fan. Personally, if I wasn't 100% sure, I would leave it all in one bator. Don't you have 8 days between hatches? That's plenty of time to have a hatch, move them out, clean it and have another hatch.

I agree with Doug. I would use your one bator that you know is going to hold temp and humidity. The aquarium could work but I bet your hatch rate will be better in the bator.

Today I set in the bator:

7 cream legbars
5 Wheaten/Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas
6 OEs
6 BCM

I think I am finally perfecting my temp and humidity with this being my 5th attempt at incubating.

In the other bator, I should have some hatch Sat/Sun. I'll be interested to see if I do better with the dry hatch method. Lockdown on these tonight.

A thermostat is a must. That light will need to go off when it hits temps.

Will the ones that need to be turned be ok

How far apart are your hatches? Most likely they are close enough that turning will not be important. Also once the first set start hatching they are going to run all over and make sure every one else gets turned. The only thing you will need to worry about is the 2nd sets aircells after lock down. Candle and make sure they are still on track and adjust humidity for the last set. This last hatch I had one egg that was at least 3 days behind the rest. It was locked down from about day 10 off and on for the next 10 days. I ran the bator dry in between to help the aircell grow right. It hatched perfectly on day 21.

My big thing with a staggered hatch is keeping the bator clean. I used baskets lined with paper towels this last time since I was only hatching a couple eggs every day or so. Worked perfect for containing egg mess but they climb out. So I had to get them out of the bator before they pooped.

Look who found his girl in solitary. It was sweet until he called everyone else in and I had to kick them all out. My garage is dirty but chicken poop all over the floor is too dirty.

they are basically 15x16 that's what I took the pic for size and the stickers have dimensions lol and you don't really need a hole lot of boxes either.
