Awww Liz! sorry, Can Cornish get that old without dying of something? They get heart disease I thought that's why you need to process before 12 weeks. Liz you know more about that than I, but I am so sorry!I lost my first chicken yesterday. My 19 week old Cornish x pullet. It's been over 105 for almost a week now, and the heat got to her. I have fans and misters out, but she cuddled up in the garage, and got too hot.. That's my first one that has died (unintentionally). I guess out of 100+ chicks and chickens I've had, it's not too bad. I've had full term eggs not hatch, but no actual chickens. I feel bad that I wasn't home to check on her.![]()
