well..my puppy probably just ruined my chances for hatching any chickies for a lady from work! i had 17 eggs in my bator on day 3 and puppy got the zoomies and somehow managed to get both the turner cord and the incubator cord wrapped around her leg and took that bator AND my mini brinsea off the shelf! the brinsea was empty... we'll see if it got broken and the other one..a cheapie farm innovator that wasn't the best to begin with was upside down and full of scrambled eggs!!!

ya know the lil sticky note that said "do not get circuit board wet?" well i guess puppy didn't read that! now to see if either one will hold a temp!!!

I don't know if it's going to be much help at this late stage, but I'd give her a mutivit+mineral supplement in her drink water and extra protein to boost her. Also keep her warm at night, at least. It is better to start this treatment with runts as soon as you notice the problem though. Some respond very well and eventually catch up and grow to their full size, others may have an underlying issue that you can't do much about.
Thanks Sumi
iwil try and give her scrambled egg. Maybe shell eat I hope .I have had some get closer to regular size
So far she hasn't but yes I guess i should have give her vitimins all along to help her
Shes my only Silver laced brahma pullet I have had hatch in 5 months from a silver laced roo and gold laced hen.
Get silver laced cockrels or gold laced pullets!

Excellent choice

I bought myself the same model Brinsea with a turner last year and I love it. It's user friendly, holds temp and humidity very well and is easy to clean afterwards. The only complaint I have is the water wells overflow and leak when you fill them up, especially when tilting the unit. So when I lock down I remove the egg tray and spread a clean cloth underneath, just dipping it into the wells, then replace the egg tray. I keep that cloth damp during lockdown and the humidity is perfect.

Sumi, Thanks for the tip. I will try the cloth dipped into the wells for my first hatch next year. This will be my trial run next year, am done for this season. Lynn

OMG y'all - I am a lunatic! Where will it end, LOL!? :cd

I now have:
7 Barred Rocks - day 14 (shipped)
18 Blue Breda - Day 5 (shipped)
6 Partridge Penedesenca - Day 0 (Hand delivered!)
5 Ameraucana - Day 0 (Hand delivered!)
1 Crested Cream Legbar - Day 0 (Hand Delivered)
12 of my own backyard Mutts - Day 0 - hoping the White Leghorns got busy with my Lavender Ameraucana ;)
AND I just found out that my 6 Sweet Potato Quechua and 6 Colloncas eggs had already shipped and should be here in the morning!!!!

I will let them rest 24 hours and then move my barred rocks into the hatcher (day 16) and move them into the bator! I am so hoping that most of these shipped eggs do OK :fl

What are you using for a hatcher?

Well, if you can't find any fertile eggs for sale anywhere and you want to hatch something, there's only thing for it, hey? Meet Jack:
