I can't seem to find the thread, but I remember that there was a member that tried to hatch eggs without doing anything. He didn't turn the eggs and didn't add water for humidity. He simply left them in the incubator. His hatch rate could have been better, but if I remember correctly, it wasn't too bad.

I ended up with another broody hen. Her eggs were all perfectly normal, but now at day 14, one has a ruptured air sac (rotates around the entire egg) and the other 2 have very loose air cells. What has this hen been up too? They are all in a top nesting box and they haven't moved.

did she take the eggs to vegas on a plane for a few days?

Omg!! just found out my egg turner has been off for five days!!!!!¡!! Ggrrrrrrrr. My DH unplugged it to plug in the paper shedder and never plugged it back in!!!!!!! Grrrrrrrrdrrrr
