in my world, I have simplified it a bit as I dont mix batches of 100KG (220lb) except for the feed for the adult birds and pigs, I dont mix the grower chicken feed - I just give them adult game bird.

I prefer to use multiple sources of feed rather than just rice bran and soy as i think my miing 3 or 4 sources, I will pick up other trace elements - e.g. fish meal has loads of iron and calcium. I dont give layers fish meal as I dont want fishy eggs.
Oz, my organic layer feed, 18% protein no corn, soy or canola, contains fish meal. I have never had a fishy egg and no complaints from any of my customers either.

I am not surprised - it actually takes a lot of fish to make a fishy egg. Most layer mixes are only 5% or so. At 60-70% protein it does not take a lot to get to the right protein and Lysene levels.

If you were to feed them game bird starter you may notice.
