wow
i cant find much either
I started with Ivermectin

from :http://www.inchem.org/documents/pims/pharm/ivermect.htm

.4 Teratogenicity
The rates of major congenital malformations are not altered in
treated mothers. In a Liberian community-based ivermectin
therapy programme, the incidence of major congenital
malformations in children born both to ivermectin-treated and
untreated mothers was about 2.5%, a figure comparable with
rates previously reported in the population at large in Africa
(WHO, 1990b).

No adverse effects were reported when pregnant mares were
given six oral doses of ivermectin 0.6 mg/kg paste at two-week
intervals during organogenesis and early pregnancy, and six
intramuscular injections of ivermectin at 0.6 mg/kg at two-
month intervals during the last two trimesters. The foals
born were also unaffected (Campbell & Benz, 1984).

Ivermectin is teratogenic in rats, rabbit and mice at or near
materno-toxic dose levels. The abnormalities are limited
mainly to cleft palate. Mice are the most sensitive species
to the effect of ivermectin with maternotoxicity at a dose of
0.2 mg/kg/day (MSD, 1988).
7.5 Mutagenicity
Ivermectin was negative in the AMES Assay, and in a mouse
lymphoma mutation assay. In addition, it did not induce
unscheduled DNA synthesis in a human fibroblast cell culture,
suggesting that it does not damage DNA (MSD, 1988)

There is nothing on poultry but sufficient on other animals to suggest it wont harm them. The issues were at near toxic doses, not routine doses.

BTW Birth defects = Teratogenic

Valbazen:

Albendazole Side Effects, Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) and Warnings

  • Albendazole can have teratogenic effects, particularly in cattle and sheep and shall not be administered to pregnant animals.

Edited - I guess they dont want you copying their site LOL

medical study of teratogenesis, congenital malformations or individuals with significant malformations. LMAO sorry not a medical field person had to look that up fast!

Febendazole

Fenbendazole was tested for embryotoxicity and teratogenicity
in rats and rabbits dosed by gavage. Embryotoxicity was not seen in
either species, while fetotoxicity in the form of an increased
frequency of occurrence of 13th ribs and delayed ossification of
cranial bones occurred in rabbits given a dose of 63 mg/kg b.w./day.
The NOEL were 2500 mg/kg b.w./day in rats and 25 mg/kg b.w./day in
rabbits.

In dogs, pigs, sheep, and cattle, the oral administration of
fenbendazole at various times during the gestation period did not
result in treatment-related effects in the offspring.

How are you finding this stuff! You know the terminology! Thank God for Oz as usual!

I am never simple

I alternate between Ivermectin topically and Fenedazole. I started a quarterly regimen. I dont stop eating or incubating.

As my birds stop laying in December, this year I will hit them with valbazen the. It is Teratogenic. I can buy that in the philippines by the CC from the agrivet. The other 2 arent effective against tape worm.

I also have the parental injection version of Ivermectin I use on pigs but injecting micro doses in a chicken is a pain in the butt and prefer it if there are less chances to needle stick exposure to my people.

I buy the generic Ivermectin and Safeguard (Febendazole) from Jeffers.

Febendazole - I use the safeguard multi species in their feed.

We know your far from simple oz!

is tape worm extremely common? Hubs and I discussed over and over the treatments for our dogs, pups as well as the chicken critters. I keep changing schedules and am thoroughly confused again. as always
