Just candled my eggs!! The local ones have great veins! I was also sooooo excited to see 5 out of 6 of my shipped also have veins!!! Their air sacks look pretty good too! The one egg looks like it may be a blood ring I took note and will check it in a few days! I'm so happy they are alive in there!!
That sounds wonderful! I hope they continue doing well for you.

Sally, how is "Peaches" doing? Leg better?

Dolfi how are yours coming along? I have 18 serama in the bator day 7 and they all have nice veining!

you know I am glad you asked, and I will tell you something sumi .....

I noticed when I was attempting to clean out part of the coolerbator and exposed the 1/4 wire that the chick ran off the shelf liner mat and walked perfectly on the 1/4 wire that I had bared! so I removed all the liner and let two brahma in there for a full day running around but providing a small dish of food and some grow gel and some water.... Amazingly the wire forced it to walk correctly! ha ha ha go figure, like oz says sometimes I overthink too much

Note to self: NEVER underestimate a three day old White Faced Black Spanish Chick! Trying to photograph 6 chicks and a few eggs ended up with three broken eggs and chicks running all over the counter and luckily none fell on the concrete floor! So I had to do two chicks and those were very difficult!

These were from the weekends hatch, some of the large batch of "quality control" hatchlings
