Non Sequitor here: I am making corned beef and cabbage using my pressure cooker. Very excited.

hmmmm pressure cooker! thats scary it will get soggy no? let me know how it turns out! I love frying the cabbage and adding corned beef, so much more flavor and with onions even better!

I like the brahma boys they're so pretty! You said in your new cooler inc. that the trays tip to 45*. In a normal inc., mine is a Farm Inovator 4200 with egg turner, what % would you say they tip? I'm Linda and I live in Sonora, CA. I'm a newbie and this is my very first experience at hatching chicks. I have some shipped eggs from Oklahoma in the incubator with some damaged air cells. I haven't started turning yet as they have only been in since last Fri., almost a week. I was debating whether to turn in egg cartons or turn automatically. I plan on day 18 to put them into egg carton with the bottoms cut out. I am excited to candle on day 7.

The damaged air cells may never resolve but those little chickies need to be turned.

Some people don't start turning shipped eggs until day 7 to give the air cells time to "heal" if you will.
Are they that fragile that they need to be placed in egg cartons to tip all at once or is the auto turner fine?

Are your air cells rolling or just loose?

I have 24 bantam cochin eggs shipped and I threw in 4 of my Jap bantams. Of the shipped eggs 5 are rolling end to end and almost all of the rest are somewhat or all saddle air sacks. Do you think the auto turner is OK to use for them or do they need to be handled more gently?

The auto turner is slow isnt it? probably better unless you just want to do the egg carton tilt from side to side on the rolling and really bad loose cells?

Whoops I mean 20 bantam cochin eggs. The 5 detached air cells rolled all the way from end to end on the day I set them, Fri 3/7. The turner is very slow and gentle.
