You hit it! thank you!!Sally, I for one am delighted with the research you do. I don't often go shopping for articles pertinent to the BYF keeper, however, I LOVE to read science based research articles. I drag the info across my brain cells, and take it out to ruminate on it in my spare time. That is one of the things that makes the BYC forum so interesting... But I can definitely do without the drama. Let's have good discussions about what works well for you and what didn't work so well for me, and what the next guy is trying... but PLEASE, people... enough of the finger pointing regarding who's doing it wrong. Let the evidence prove it'self!
moving on..... we need a topic to research lol
I am still wondering if the temperature outside has any effect on egg shell as its laid, that can cause it to be less porous and cause such terrible time with humidity this winter.
stumped and still irritated with not finding much on the process, I do know the ph is effected somehow, but I cant put all the info together
We had more time fine tuning our new incubator than building it so it has perfection in temps top to bottom, but our brainstorm has turned out amazing! And WAIT till you see the temps holding top to bottom!! Gigantic Cabinet COOLER INCUBATOR w/semi auto turning
I took images all the way through this project even the fine tuning to get no variance top to bottom. This brainstorm started with the desire and need for a large capacity incubator that could hold enough eggs for our chick sales and also lesson all of the hand turning I have to do. And we are always trying to come up with cheaper and better ways of doing things, plus I really dont have $800. to have a new sportsman mailed to me. est $135.00 cost IF y'all make one, come back and share your cooler cabinet with us please!
