Diary & Notes ~ Air Cell Detatched SHIPPED Chicken Eggs for incubation and hatching

We had about 30 roosters in our freezer at one point. ha ha

Just hatched 17 chicks from mama and papa.

Still 6 unhatched. Will leave them in there for 2 more days but from what I found once the major hatch is over the rest never hatch for what ever reason.

Congrats! That happens to me too.

Just lowered the temp down 1 degree. NEW hydrometer. lol The last one didnt soak up the yolk all the way. It rubbed again a chick that had its beak out. The yolk harded and suffocated the pipping chick. Happens almost every time. At least one gets it. Thats why I usually like taking them out as soon as they hatch.

Sounds like me. I have 10 Polish and 4 Ancona eggs in my bator. I also have 24 more Ancona's that were just shipped (a week late, yes I'm kind of upset) and then the Lady that sent me the eggs that hatched last week but my dog killed is sending me way more eggs then before including an other goose and more ducks. Idk what in going to do.... Im just glad my dh rigged me a hatcher
