I had tons of trouble with my LG, both humidity and temperature, but absolutely zero issues with the Brinsea Mini Advance. Before setting eggs in it I marked where the water needed to be in the wells with a green marker to keep the humidity steady for day 1-18 and then tested it with both wells filled for days 18 to 21 and it holds the higher humidity steady even when the room RH changes slightly or I open the bator. It only holds 7 eggs though. I really want a Genesis 1588, as from what I've read on this forum it is the next best thing to sliced bread and holds more eggs! I got my Brinsea off Amazon for about 120 with free shipping. Of course if I could I'd get a Brinsea Octo 20 advance ex ... but I'm just not that rich lol.(NOTES: Red plugs.... took 2nd one back out as has a humidity spike overnight to 60% it rained cats n dogs last night! humidifer set at 35% so it will keep pulling it out! )
OMG how difficult to keep humidity levels steady!! Do other incubators actually control humidity?? If so thats my next bator!! ugggg what a pain and of course during the leftovers from Isaac! btw I am in PA![]()
