Thanks ya all, I was just mad, I tried... kids n daddy buried him....

I put Halo and the two mixed silks in with the four remaining of the last hatch and so far they get along fine!

I am beat now, blew all the leaves, mowed, cleaned up all the dog doody, winterized the pool, cleaned the coops, cooked um oats, cleaned the brooders, cleaned the rabbit pens, cleaned the whelping box, brushed the mutts, cleaned the house well the basics anyway, and sooooooo on.... all while hubby sided the coop and replaced the stearing in the truck.... COLD had to start the coal stove for the first time!!!

Oh GOOD stuff today too.... Puppies eyes are starting to open and they are starting to walk on all fours alot better!!

They do get bigger as hatch goes along. If the chicks are filling the egg they are ready...others maybe not to day 14 yet ?or have died still i would let them go in lock who knows. If the air cell is too big ...am i wrong...dont you need MORE humidity to shrink them because the chick has lost too much water ?Did you weigh this time?Id so how is that?Id go more by that then the size of the air cell.If youdidnt go by the air cell. You might go online and look up chick air cell.Might even be pics in the learning center. Any event I would for sure lock when you are expected to.GOOD LUCK!!!

They must be about 10-14 days old now.? This is when they really start to get cute and . ..walking,Ever y day better and better. Little personalites come out age 3 -5 weeks and thye are the cutest ever. Start them on some puppy chow wetted really well soft runny with warm water at about 4 weeks. You can at 3 weeks i have often but if mom is feeding them well you can wait. They get teeth at about 3-4 weeks and thats when the mom get sort of sick of them clamping down!!HAHA

OK so here is a LITTLE more info on the pallet coop.... lol psss it looks like it will start raining so still not outside to make the 2nd Pallet coop!!

"Hinkel Haus" made of pallets and recycled wood picket fencing. ..

Hinkel is PA Dutch for Chicken btw!
Mostly recycled materials for the coop, two paint colors, all we have to finish up is our storage "step" under the door and some purdy lanscaping!

Window closed & window open

more recycled pickets for flower box and a little paint and sharpie made the Brahma hen

& Locken up below

the chickens door to go out to run from inside

pic from under double roost (at both ends) PS I NEED to make a poop board... on my list for a cleaner coop!

roosting from above

other side low roosts for heavier birds

below is an old garage shelving unit turned nest boxes, curtains for privacy lol

NOTES: even though front eves and rear are wired for ventilation, I want to LOWER the roosts and add more cross ventilation from each sides with cheap screaned vents

Large Dog house conversion for silkies

In the run

REALLY AAA-dore the shutters And genius the pallets for a frame. The coops are both wonderful.Saw a stack of must have been 20-30 pallets about 3 hours from my house Sat.. Bet he was gonna burn them ..I was with someone in their truck but OHHH how i wish i was in my car or had a truck. Would have gone over and started loading Your coop is very inspiring!! DH is good with his tools What nice fencing and gates.
