Notice originally I said controling them not eradicating them. She has a week until eggs hatch. I can treat properly then. I used the peppermint only as a surface cleaner on the parts of my garage the mites were hanging out not in the coop. I have used strictly neem oil/water and DE in the coops. Still none in the garage or in the main coop.If you’re still pulling mites off it isn’t working good enough. Neem oil barely kills enough bugs on plants even when mixed with an emulsifier and added peppermint oil. It may keep the load down but it’s not going to eradicate anything.
DE and Neem oil both work better for the larvae stage of bugs in a garden setting like in the top layer of potted plants, raised beds, etc..
