Dickey vs Sportsman incubator

shipping is included in the price.

Mr. Dickey is available for tech support at almost anytime. i am running my first hatch through mine right now.

the Dickey seemed sturdier and no computer parts to blitz out.

i considered a Sportsman, but am glad that i went with the Dickey.

Hey, MJ! Still lovin' that bator, I see........

I prefer the dickey over the sportsman. Have seen them both in operation and prefer the dickey.

My dickey is extremely quiet and spot on with temps.

With that said, my parents know Mr. Dickey as that is where I grew up down in those parts. Mr. Dickey and his family have run this business out of their shop for about 40 years now. He is 72 yrs old and trying to make an honest living.

GQF on the other hand doesn't seem to appreciate all the business directed their way so I wouldn't buy their sportsman anyway.

this was one of the 'deal breakers' for me. personal service with backup help. GQF cannot make the same promise.

Mr. Dickey chatted with my DH even after answering questions, he just shot the breeze for awhile. that you cannot put a price tag on that kind of stuff.

I totally agree. You don't have to wait for a customer service rep. Mr. Dickey is customer service. Awesome! And the quality of the bator, there is no comparison.

This is not true. When I emailed, once he emailed me back - he informed me that shipping was nearly $70. How did you get it included in the price of the bator???

eta: If I could get the bator for the price listed on his site, without having to pay an extra $70 for shipping, I'd buy it NOW! Did you haggle with him or something to get that included?
