I put 2 Royal Palm eggs in there today!

Lol, around here a Royal Palm is a tree, but I Googled and found that it is also a turkey - is that what you have? Cool

My new incubator is doing that as well. I think they may be more stable full. I have put a couple of slim bottles of water in there, on their sides, and I am going to see if the temps even out.

Also I have heard having the incubator in a cupboard really helps, because the stable cupboard temperature helps keep the incubator temperature stable. However, I am reluctant to carve a notch in my cupboard doors to pass the electric cord through. However, you may be keener to try this than I am, so I have passed it on in case it helps.

Good luck!

Just put 21 buff orp eggs in today i have 6 eggs coming from mcallums flock anybody know about hatch rates from mcallums flock?

@ Bigdawg - My incubator is definitely more stable with the bottles of water lying in it. I still haven't got the temperature quite where I want it, but when I shift the dial, the response on the thermometer is much slower, OK, this means it may take longer to hit the ideal temp, but it's far more likely to stay there once I get there.

Hi all,
My neighbor is bringing me about 18 Mutt eggs and a bator. I don't know the brand. I'm so eggsited. I guess I'll have to warm the bator and stabilize temps, then put them in Monday morn. Someone please tell me if this is right. This is my 1st hatch.
